It was back in December that we wrote about the Richmond Book Drive campaign that piggybacked on the online popularity of Marin County musical act Pomplamoose (Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn) to bring needed book donations to several Richmond schools that have both low reading-proficiency levels and low income. The campaign, initiated by Tyler Hester, a ninth-grade English teacher at the Leadership Public Schools charter high school in Richmond, was a rousing success -- in fact almost too much so.
